I used to use http://www.portsdb.org to search their database to see what services were using which ports. For the last 6 months their site has been in maintenance mode. I downloaded the services.tgz file from portsdb.org and created the database and pertinent web pages. Looking through the services.txt file I saw what appeared to be contributors to the information contained in that file. There are numerous contributors.

The bottom form does not use a port number for searches.

You can enter as much information as you want.
You can enter as little information as you want but port number IS required.
